To open the specimen record for the specimen stored in a specific aliquot:
- Open the box detail window for the box where the specimen is stored. See Viewing the Contents of a Box in a Freezer.
- Double-click the aliquot in the list in the top right corner of the window or in the box below. The specimen detail window for that specimen will open.
- With the actual aliquot, scan the barcode on the storage unit. This will enter the value into the CC# field in the quick access toolbar and perform a quick search for the specimen record.
