Only users with admin permissions can add or remove label printers from itBioPath. To add a connection to a barcode label printer:
- Set up the barcode label printer on the HCI network. Make a note of the IP address assigned to the printer.
- Select Administration-Printers from the application menu bar. The Manage Printers window will open.
- Click
in the upper right corner of the window.
- Enter the name of the printer and the IP address in the appropriate fields in the upper right corner of the window.
- Click
in the upper right corner of the window to add the printer.
- One at a time, add the labs that will be using the printer to the Labs Using: list. Select the lab to be added in the drop-down field directly above the list of labs. The selected lab will automatically be added to the list of labs using the printer.
- Clickagain to save the changes (lab assignments).
